When it comes to straight razors everybody knows the Henckels name. It’s one of these best German straight razors, both in steel and grind. They are so good that we can easily say you can’t go wrong with a Henckels. Their crisp steels, and perfect grinds always guarantees a very keen edge that gives great shave each and every time.
The company started to produce straight razors under its own name around 1898. About 1970s-1980s, they left straight razor production and continued to producing kitchen knives. Today they are one of the most sought after German brands.

This straight razor we have here is a very elegant and rare one, 11/16” in size, full hollow and square point. Made from carbon steel, it does not have any visual defects other than 1-2 points of old corrosion marks and in terms of wear it is in mint condition. Since Henckels straights with square points are rare, we also wanted to make some rare scales for this model so we built beautiful ebony scales with scalloped rock pattern. Complemented with a brass wedge, the razor has truly become collection piece. With that typical Henckels quality steel you can be sure it will give you perfect shaves each and every time.
Straight Razor Care Instructions
Unlike any other shaving tools, straight razors require special care. The cutting edge must be protected from impacts and contact with any hard surface. After each shave you must clean and dry your straight razor with a soft paper towel without touching the very edge and strop it to keep it sharp. You can strop on the canvas side of your strop to clean the cutting edge after each shave. Please do not try to sharpen your straight razor by yourself if you don’t have adequate honing experience, otherwise you can cause irreparable damage. You may consult our straight razor honing service. If you won’t be using your straight razor for a long time, it’s best to cover it with a thin coat of oil to keep it rust free. This is especially important for straight razors with carbon steels, as carbon steel is very prone to rust in humid conditions. Keep your straight razor in a dry place and out of children’s reach.

They can cause serious accidents and injuries in the hands of people without enough experience.
